Financial Centre in Tianjin

For this 1800m² financial centre, located in the city of Tianjin, a coastal city not far from Beijing, the workshop has created an architecture composed of four buildings surrounding public indoor courtyards.

Steel, stone and stucco materials have been used, along with recycled PET canvas for the floors and walls. The architectural vocabulary finds its presence through the composition of light and materials, and through the simplicity of the volumes and details. Walkways between the office spaces, indoor courtyards and their salons provide an ideal working environment, overlooking outdoor gardens and the lake. The basements benefit from daylight being allowed in between the walls and exterior facades.

The mission for this project includes the architectural concept, interior design and also the lighting and furniture design.
