This four unit waterfront project is located beside a freshwater lake in Tianjin, the sister city of Beijing. The buildings will be occupied by the headquarters of large financial groups. Research was carried out to create a series of different relationships between the architecture and the water.

The plan shows a composition of squares and golden rectangles, pure geometries arranged in an organic style and connected by volumes of red zinc. The intermediate spaces form the “garden rooms” of the project, creating meeting points and pathways between entities, illuminated by sky domes and framing views of the water and the gardens.

The chosen materials of limestone and zinc meet with the local planning requirements, which encourage a search for the continuity of classical architecture in Tianjin, influenced by the European communities of the last century.
